Deep sleep mode (maximum battery life)

Updated on 25 September 20261 min read

Deep sleep mode gets the maximum battery life out of your tracker. It suits times when you do not need ongoing tracking, for example on holiday or when the tracker is not worn for a longer time.

Note: Deep sleep mode is only available for LV2 devices.

How does deep sleep work?

  • The device wakes up briefly about once an hour, sends its location and then switches the mobile radio off completely.
  • Between reports, the device is offline and cannot be tracked live.
  • The app shows you when the device is expected to be reachable again.

Activate deep sleep

  1. Go to Settings, choose your device and tap "Location Intervals".
  2. Choose the "Deep sleep" tile.
  3. The device confirms the change as soon as it has received the command.

Commands during deep sleep and the queue

Because the device cannot be reached between its wake-up windows, commands such as light, sound or a mode change are not carried out right away. Instead, they are queued and applied automatically the next time the device wakes up. In the app you can tell by the "Queued" label. You can send again or discard a queued command at any time.

End deep sleep

  1. Open "Location Intervals" and choose a different mode.
  2. The change is queued and applied the next time the device wakes up. This can take up to one hour.

Difference from "Daily only"

In "Daily only" mode, the device stays permanently connected to the mobile network and can be reached at any time, but it only records its location once a day. In deep sleep, the device is completely offline in between. This saves the most battery, but commands only reach the device the next time it wakes up.
