Activities & movement data
The activities page gives you a smart analysis of your device's movement patterns. Walks are detected automatically, so you do not need to start anything.
Open Activities
Tap "Activities" in the bottom navigation.
Weekly overview
- Activity time per day as a bar chart. Tap a bar to open that day.
- Monthly average as a dashed line in the chart.
- Distance covered during the week.
- Number of walks.
- Trend indicator compared to the monthly average.
- Use the arrows to browse to earlier weeks.
Daily details
Tap a day to see the individual activities:
- Walks: With time, duration and distance. Tap a walk to see the route on the map, or start the playback with the play button.
- Car rides: Fast movements (over 25 km/h) are listed separately as car rides. If the system detects a walk within a car ride, it is shown with the note "from drive".
- Walk mode: Walks you start manually in walk mode appear here with an especially precise route.
Correct the detection
If something was wrongly detected as a walk, you can hide it. You find hidden walks at the bottom of the day view, and you can bring them back there at any time with show again.
The reverse works too. Below the walks, the day view lists the detected car rides. Tap one to see its route on the map. Below it you see why it counts as a car ride, for example the highest measured speed. If it was not really a drive but, for example, a horse ride or a bike tour your dog ran along with, choose count as walk from the menu on the right. The time span then moves with its full route into your walks and into your daily statistics. You undo this from the same menu.
How does the detection work?
The system analyzes the GPS data and automatically distinguishes between:
- Rest time: No movement detected.
- Walk: Movement below 25 km/h.
- Car ride: Movement above 25 km/h.
Short breaks along the way, such as on a bench or for a chat, still belong to the same walk. If your dog rests in one place for more than half an hour, the walk ends there. If your dog moves on later, that counts as a new walk. This way a longer rest does not count as activity time.
A walk that goes past midnight stays one single walk and counts toward the day it started. So you find a walk from 23:50 to 00:30 entirely under the previous day.
